Bullion Silver Eagle Mintages
The American Silver Eagle is one of the official silver bullion coin of the United States. It has been issued every year since 1986. By law, the United States Mint is required to produce the coins in in quantities deemed necessary to meet the full public demand. In recent years, mintages have spiraled upwards, as interest in silver investment has increased.The table below shows bullion mintage data from 1986 to 2011. For four consecutive years, mintage levels have established new record highs.
The lowest mintage for a bullion issue is the 1996 Silver Eagle at 3,603,386.
